Dell Service Tag

The rare occasion may arise where, after working with DW Support to document and troubleshoot an ongoing issue with a DW Blackjack RACK Server, you may need to send the hardware in for servicing to Dell Product Support.

To receive support from Dell, you will need to provide both the Dell EMC Service Tag number and the Express Service Code number that Dell can use to identify your Server.

Dell EMC Service Tag – a 5-digit (or more) identification number that is unique to your Dell enterprise server.
Express Service Code – a 10-digit (or more) numeric version of the Service Tag number, which can be entered over the phone for call routing.

This article will outline the various ways that you can find the Service Tag and Express Service Code on your enterprise DW Spectrum RACK Server.

Locating the Service Tag

There are several ways that you can locate the Dell Service Tag of your DW Blackjack RACK Server including locating the information tag physically located on your server or by using the computer’s Command Prompt application.

Locating the Information Pullout Tag

To locate the Information Pullout Tag containing the Service Tag and Express Service Code:

At the front of the system, locate the tag labeled with “EST” and gently slide the tag outward.
The Dell Service Tag number and Express Service Code will be affixed to the information tag.
