Important Changes
Update Notes:
- Support for Ubuntu 16.04 will be discontinued in the next release version of DW Spectrum and Systems on Ubuntu 16.04 will be blocked from updating to the next release version.
Analytics Improvements & Fixes
- Added support for the Dahua Smart Motion Detection events.
- VIVOTEK analytics plugin: Added ANPR package support.
- Enabled in-camera analytics for Provision I4-340IPE-MVF.
- BOSH analytics plugin: Changed object's speed to km/h or mi/h.
- Added support for ANRP events on Dahua ITC215-PW6M-x, ITC237-PW6M-x, ITC437-PW6M-x, ITC415-PW6M-x.
- Hikvision analytics plugin:
- Optimized Hikvision analytics plugins to reduce the number of LPR requests.
- Fixed wrong object bounding boxes on some cameras.
- Objects were sometimes not shown on new firmware. Fixed.
- Duplicate objects were emitted. Fixed.
- Sometimes Hikvision LPR could not recognize a license plate but still sent garbage objects. Fixed.
- Object bounding boxes were displayed at the wrong place for Hikvision LPR. Fixed.
DW Device Support Improvements & Fixes
- Some DW Camera Models are discovered as "Digital Watchdog" instead of the exact models. Fixed.

- The image in PTZ mode unexpectedly zoomed while panning/tilting on Aviglion encoder. Fixed.
- Fixed an issue that caused the initialization of Dahua IPC-PDBW5831 360 multi-sensor camera to fail.
- AXIS A9188 IO device didn’t have an audio stream. Fixed.
- Fixed PTZ issues on DS-2CD2646XM and DS-2SC3Q140MY by configuring them to use ONVIF-based PTZ instead.
- All models of i-PRO (Panasonic) devices will now use ONVIF Media2 by default.
- Fixed motion detection issues on ArecontVision 3105 camera.
- Fixed RTSP stream playback from TRUEN EPS-TSH device.
- Fixed an issue that caused live playback for Arecont 8185DN panoramic camera to stop after some time.
- Arecont camera 10655DN doesn't show live stream in the Desktop Client. Fixed.

Bug Fixes & Improvements
- Sometimes the system becomes partially unresponsive. Fixed.
- User defined camera names were not restored after removing cameras and reindexing the archive. Fixed.
- In multi-server systems, insufficient license issues could happen if a Server goes offline. Fixed.
- Sometimes, duplicate events were triggered for Axis analytics events. Fixed.
- Sometimes cameras do not switch back to the original server after failover. Fixed.
- Incorrect OS version was displayed in the WebAdmin > Information > Server (occurred with Windows 11 and Windows Server 2019). Fixed.
- Sometimes layouts were not shown in alphabetical order on the Resource Tree. Fixed.
- Files exported to .TS and .MKV format from USB cameras did not contain sound. Fixed.
- The Cloud merge status sometimes got stuck on "Merge in progress" after the mergeSystem API request. Fixed.
- Fixed filter when exporting bookmark from Bookmark Log
- Added support for mpeg4 RTP video streams.
- The last opened layouts wouldn't open after restarting the Desktop Client. Fixed.
- Fixed an issue with 2-way audio support for AXIS P8221 on the Mobile Client.
- Event log is not cleaned according to the setting eventLogPeriodDays.
- Opening a zoom window while a video was paused caused the video to playback at high speed. Fixed.
- Unable to add an administrator user after the ownership transfer process. Fixed.
- Desktop Client would crash when hiding the calendar after searching on the Motion tab by selecting an area and multiple dates on the calendar. Fixed.
- Fixed an issue that prevented cameras from being dragged and dropped within the Resource Group.
- VMS Server will no longer send ONVIF requests to cameras if auto discovery is turned off and the camera is registered with another Server in the System.
- Added audio codec parameter for RTSP streams.
- Fixed batch selection via the Shift modifier in the resource selection dialogs.
- No audio during video archive playback with AAC audio on the Desktop Client. Fixed.
- The RAM size for RPI4 was displayed incorrectly in the VMS WebAdmin. Fixed.
- Tiles are not displayed on the Bookmarks tab after the Desktop Client starts. Fixed.
- Bookmark notification headers contained unnecessary information. Fixed.
- The Desktop Client failed to connect to Cloud Systems that were unreachable through the Cloud, even if they were available locally. Fixed.
- Added support for AAC codec for video export to MP4.
- The Desktop Client would sometimes crash on M1 Mac devices. Fixed.
- Introduced the ownerApiForAdmins Server configuration option (default value of false). *Setting this flag to "true" will allow Admin-level users to initiate Create Backup or Restore Backup operations.
- Introduced the isFilePathPrefixedWithServerId Server configuration option (default value of 1).
- It adds a Server GUID to the archive path when recording new footage. Originally implemented in the 5.0 release.
- This setting can be changed without losing the archive. VMS Server checks both folders for reading.
- Users can revert the storage structure back to the old version if desired.
- After unplugging a joystick then plugging it back in, the joystick stopped working in the Desktop Client. Fixed.
- Fixed an issue that caused the audio backchannel API (api/http_audio) not to play audio files.
- The MJPEG stream from Bosch cameras did not play back correctly. Fixed.
- VMS Server ignored time zone and daylight-saving attributes while setting the device time via ONVIF. Fixed.
- Added support for SET_PARAMETER method of RTSP protocol.
- The "Do HTTP request" action now supports PATCH requests.
- Certain cameras sometimes get deleted from the System after merging two Systems. Fixed.
- Desktop Client time was used instead of Server time in the exported video for the timestamp. Fixed.
- Screenshots were missing from Email notifications. Fixed.
- The default recorder name was displayed in the Resource Tree instead of the user-defined one. Fixed.
- Fixed an issue that caused the Desktop Client to not start on macOS Mojave 10.14.6.
- Desktop Client archive playback issues.
- PTZ preset names in Korean could not be displayed in the Desktop Client. Fixed.
- Fixed VMS Server crash and increased CPU usage when fetching RTSP from Arecont Vision cameras.
- The “Setup New System” dialog did not show up if the certificate validation was disabled in the Desktop Client (local settings). Fixed.
- VMS Server could crash or work with degraded performance if using an SMB storage with poor bandwidth. Fixed
- Fixed the Desktop Client memory leak when multiple cameras are opened.
- Last opened layouts did not open after GUI client restart. Fixed.
- Desktop Client or Server could crash when saving a backup file bigger than 400Mb. Fixed.
- WebAdmin interface was causing increased memory usage by VMS Server on big systems. Fixed.
- Database size significantly increased for big systems after the last patch. This caused increased Server memory usage and slow client connection speed. Fixed.
- The number of requests being sent by Desktop Client to Server was significantly reduced, which should improve performance for big systems.
- When playing an archive with different stream resolutions (low and high), the Desktop *Client sometimes did not switch to a secondary stream. Fixed.
- Server could hang after some time because of token authorization. Fixed.
- Server could lose connection to Cloud after some time. Fixed.
- The “View cameras” page displayed incorrectly on Cloud Portal when 2FA was enabled. Fixed.
- Fixed incorrect shortcut hints for the buttons on scene items.
- The Showreel mode caused excess memory usage on the Desktop Client. Fixed.
- Joysticks stopped working in the Desktop Client if unplugged and plugged back in. Fixed.
- The distributor name in the Support Signature field was not shown on the license dialog in the Desktop Client. Fixed.
- Fixed a desktop client crash during in-client update.
- Live video loaded slowly in web admin in large systems. Fixed.
- Sometimes the Desktop Client crashes while playing live video. Fixed.
- Desktop Client was crashing while trying to zoom timeline to a period when the daylight savings time occurred. Fixed.
- Custom certificates with an incorrect order of the certificate chain are not detected by Server anymore.
- Increased Server stability on Windows.
API Changes & Fixes
- The “timezoneUtcOffset” property was removed from the legacy Server API.
- The crop parameter provided in the /ec2/cameraThumbnail API did not work. Fixed.
