Blackjack® MINI™ Drive Configuration

The Blackjack® MINI™ (DW-BJMINI) differs from the rest of the Blackjack® series units.  It is designed to act as a headless server and runs an ARM architecture.  Due to these differences, they require additional setup to be configured to record.

Upon installation of the Server and completion of setup (follow the BJMINI Quick Start Guide), it is normal to see the machine fail to record in the DW Spectrum® Client.  This is due to the drive not being enabled within the DW Spectrum® Settings.

This article will outline how to enable the drive of a BJMINI.

Supported/Affected Devices:

  • Blackjack® MINI™

Enabling the Drive

To enable the drive:

  1. Using the DW Spectrum® IPVMS Client software, log into the system as an Administrator.
    • Default Username – admin
    • Default Password – admin12345
  2. Once logged in, right-click on the Server and select “Server Settings”.

  1. The Server Settings window will display.

Select the “Storage Management” tab.  Under the “Storage Locations” section, enable the toggle switch for DW Spectrum Media.

  1. Click the Apply button to save the changes, then click the OK button to close the window.

The BJMINI is now set up for recording to its drive.
