Plugin Needed for DWC-MT95WW28TW

As of DW Spectrum software update Version 5.0.0.35271, enabling the Analytics Plugin for a DWC-MT95WW28TW will require that the plugin file is copied directly to the DW Spectrum Media folder. This plugin will be automatically included in future DW Spectrum versions (post build 35271).

This article will outline how to add the manifest_dw_mx9.json file to a DW Spectrum Server for analytic use of a DWC-MT95WW28TW camera.

 

Supported/Affected Devices:

  • DW MEGApix IP Camera – DWC-MT95WW28TW

 

Adding the Plugin

 

Download and Unzip the Analytics Plugin File:  manifest_dw_mx9.json file

 

Windows OS

  1. Stop the DW Media Server from running on the computer.
  2. Navigate to the “C:\Program Files\Digital Watchdog\DW Spectrum\MediaServer\plugins\dw_mx9\ folder.
  3. If there is no “dw_mx9” folder, you will need to create one first.
  4. Copy the "manifest_dw_mx9.json" file into the “dw_mx9” folder.
  5. Start the DW Media Server again.
  6. Add the DW camera (DWC-MT95WW28TW) to the system.

 

Linux/Ubuntu OS

  1. Stop the DW Media Server from running on the computer.
  2. Navigate to the “/opt/digitalWatchdog/mediaserver/plugins/dw_mx9/” folder.
  3. If there is no “dw_mx9” folder, you will need to create one first.
  4. Copy the "manifest_dw_mx9.json" file into the “dw_mx9” folder.
  5. Start the DW Media Server again.
  6. Add the DW camera (DWC-MT95WW28TW) to the system.
