Brought to you by dormakaba, the Keyscan Aurora access control management software and DW Spectrum® IPVMS software can now be integrated to allow Keyscan Aurora users to connect with a DW Spectrum® Server and view camera video through the Keyscan Aurora software.
To achieve this, an additional plugin must be downloaded and applied to the computer that is hosting the Keyscan Aurora program.
DW Spectrum® Integration
To set up access to DW Spectrum® from Keyscan Aurora:
- From the computer that is hosting Keyscan Aurora, download the integration plugin.
- After downloading the DWViewer.zip file, use your preferred decompression program to extract the contents of the from the zipped DWViewer.zip file to the computer’s C:\Program Files (x86)\Keyscan directory.
Be sure to place all of the files and the plugins folder directly into the Keyscan root directory and not into any additional folders.
- Launch and log in to the Keyscan Aurora Client.
Select Site Management, then select Hardware Setup.
**NOTE: The site must first be created within the Site Information Setup menu before proceeding with this process.
- The list of created Aurora sites will display. Select the DW Spectrum® Server from the list.
From the dropdown menu in the top-left, select Video Devices then select Keyscan Specification CCTV Integration.
**NOTE: The Base License and Video Licenses must be unlocked to view video through Keyscan Aurora.
- From the resulting setup window, configure the following:
- Name – create a label for the site for easy identification in Keyscan Aurora
- Host – enter the IP address of the Server
- Port – enter the TCP/IP Port of the Server; by default, DW Spectrum® uses Port 7001
- User Name – enter the User ID credential used to log in to the Server
- Password – enter the User Password credential used to log in to the server
Click the Save button to apply the settings.
