Known Issue

When both the computer hosting the DW Spectrum® Server and the Samba NAS have the same workgroup name, the NAS device will show as invalid storage and be unavailable to DW Spectrum® for storage.

The SMB Protocol will specify that there might be conflicts between the Windows host and the Samba shares.

This article will outline how to return the NAS to an available status for DW Spectrum® storage.

Resolution:

To make the NAS device available for DW Spectrum® storage:

  1. Launch the DW Spectrum® Client and log in as an Administrator.
