The ENHD16 HD and Legacy Analog to IP Signal Encoder supports coaxial communication with HD cameras using its UTC (Up-the-Coax) Coaxitron feature or through an RS-485 connection for legacy cameras. Once connected and set up, users may control their PTZ cameras through the system.
This article will outline how to set up the ENHD16 Compressor for PTZ communication with both HD analog PTZ cameras and legacy analog PTZ cameras.
Note: Before starting, make sure that you know the Protocol and Baudrate of your camera. If you do not know the Protocol or Baudrate of the camera, check its user manual or reboot the camera and check its initial boot screen for the information.
When using a legacy PTZ analog camera:
Click on Device, then select PTZ.
Select the Channel of the camera, then set the ID of the camera. If you are using more than one PTZ camera, make sure that no two cameras are using the same ID or address number to prevent communication issues.
Next, set the Protocol of the camera as Pelco D.
Click Save to apply the settings.
Select the Baudrate of the camera.
Set the Type as PTZ.
Click the Save button to apply the settings and complete the initial setup.
When using an HD PTZ camera:
Click on Device, then select PTZ.
Select the Channel of the camera, then set the Protocol of the camera (C-Protocol (H) or Hikvision-C (TVI)).
Click the Save button to apply the settings.
