DW Mobile
DW Mobile allows users to connect with their recording unit from a mobile device to monitor camera video and review previously recorded video.
This article will outline how to add and connect with a site in DW Mobile.
Note: DW Mobile is compatible with Android 5.0 (or higher) and iOS 8.0 (or higher).

First-time Setup
- Launch the DW Mobile application.
DW Mobile can be downloaded to your mobile device through either the Google Play Store (Android) of the App Store (iOS).
- If this is your first time launching the application, you will be prompted to register a username and password for the application. This information will be used to access the application.
If you would like to skip this step, leave the form blank and click the Sign Up button. When prompted to log in, leave the information blank and click the Log in button.
If you would like to add or change the application login information, you can do so by selecting Setup from the Main Menu, then selecting Account Management.
Adding A Site To DW Mobile
To add a site:
- From the Home meu, tap on the Site button.
- The Sites List will display.
Enter the following information for your DVR or NVR:
- Device Name – enter a name associated with a site. This information is how the site will be labeled within the application.
- URL/IP Address – enter the LAN IP address, WAN IP address, or DDNS address of the recording unit.
- Network Port – enter the TCP/IP port of the recording unit. This information can be found in the Network menu of your DVR or NVR.

- User ID – enter the User ID that you use to log in at the recording unit.
- Password – enter the Password that you use to log in at the recording unit.
- Location Address – (optional; iOS only) enter the full location address associated with the recording unit. This feature is powered by Google Maps, allowing it display the location of your recording unit in the application.
Note: If you are using either Public IP Address (WAN) or a DDNS Address to connect with your system from within your Local Area Network (LAN), be sure to disable your device’s Wi-Fi setting to allow the device to connect through an external network (mobile data). You may leave the Wi-Fi setting enabled if you are connecting from a network that is external to the LAN that is hosting your system.
- Click the Save button.
DW Mobile will test the network connection with the provided site information. If the test fails, make sure that the DVR or NVR has network access and that the site information has been entered correctly.
- Tap the Home button to return to the Home Menu.
Connecting To A Site
To view the recording unit:
- From the Home Menu, tap on the Monitoring button.
- The Monitoring screen will display.
To prompt the Sites List, either tap the arrow on the left-side of the screen or swipe from the left edge of the screen to the right to display the panel.
- To view all cameras from a single site, press and hold on the site name from the Sites List, then drag and drop the site into the display area.
Note: If the site has more than 16 cameras, you can scroll through the camera channels by dragging your finger up and down in the display area.
