System Recovery
In the event of System errors, software corruption, or display issues, recovery firmware can be applied as a final troubleshooting step. By running the recovery program, the ENHD16 Compressor™ will be defaulted and reverted to an older version of its firmware, resolving most operational issues. Once the recovery is complete, the system can be upgraded back to the latest release.
This firmware recovery guide is intended for users who encounter system startup failure or experiencing symptoms of file system corruption.
Supported/Affected Devices:
- DW-ENHD16 Compressor™
Required Equipment
- USB Stick (FAT32 format; should not exceed 32 GB)
- Display Monitor (connected to the ENHD16 Compressor)
- USB Mouse (connected to the ENHD16 Compressor)
**NOTE: It is recommended to avoid the use of Kingston and San Disk brand USB sticks, as the ENHD16 Compressor may experience an issue while allocating the firmware files from the USB.

- Download the recovery firmware files from the link above.
- Extract the contents of the downloaded folder.
- Copy the diag3531A folder to a blank USB stick (FAT32 format).
Make sure that the files are not zipped in a compressed folder.

**NOTE: Do not change the folder name. Make sure that the folder is named diag3531A.

- Right-click with the mouse to prompt the context menu, then select "Shutdown".
- Allow the system to reboot.
The ENHD16 Compressor will automatically begin running the recovery program from the USB stick. Only a single-channel view will display onscreen.

- Upon hearing the *beep*, remove the USB stick from the ENHD16 Compressor and reboot the unit.
