DW Spectrum Clean Uninstall
When DW Spectrum Is uninstalled, the default behavior of the software is to leave behind data regarding the user’s preferences. As a result, when the software component is reinstalled, the previous settings may remain. This can be an issue if you are trying to perform a clean re-installation of DW Spectrum or must delete all DW Spectrum data from the computer.
This article will outline how to completely remove all DW Spectrum Client files from a Macintosh/Macbook computer.

Removing the DW Spectrum Client
To fully uninstall the DW Spectrum Client application from a Mac:
- Quit the DW Spectrum Client application.
- Open the Finder tool and navigate to the Applications folder.
Move the DW application to the trash and delete the application from the computer.
- Delete any remaining files associated with the application.
- Select the Go tab and select “Go to Folder” (shortcut Cmd+Shift+G).

In the Go to Folder dialog, enter:
~/Library
- In the Library folder, find and delete any files or folders containing the name of the deleted application in the filename.
Some of the common system file storage locations include:
- ~/Library/Application Support
- ~/Library/Caches
- ~/Library/Preferences
- ~/Library/Containers
- ~/Library/Cookies
- When finished, be sure to empty the Trash Bin to complete the uninstallation process.
