Health Report Viewer

The DW Spectrum Web Portal, sometimes referred to as the “DW Cloud Portal”, is an online management tool that can be accessed through a web browser to connect with systems registered to a relevant DW Cloud account. Among the various functions of the web portal, DW Spectrum System Owners or Administrators can use the DW Spectrum Web Portal to generate a JSON file that provides a copy of the system alerts log. The JSON file can then be shared with relevant support personnel for their own viewing without needing to log in to DW Cloud themselves.

This article will outline how to acquire the Health Report log from the DW Spectrum Web Portal and how to apply it in such a way to allow support personnel to view the JSON file without requiring a DW Cloud login.

 

**NOTE:  A DW Cloud account is required for this setup. To create a new DW Cloud account, please refer to DW Cloud Account Setup.

 

Health Report Viewer Setup

Acquiring the Health Report Log

To acquire the Health Report Log through the DW Spectrum Web Portal, follow the directions below.

**NOTE:  If you are trying to apply the JSON file that can be acquired through the DW Spectrum Web Portal, you may skip to the next section (Applying the JSON File for Health Report Log).

 

1. Open a web browser (Chrome, Firefox, etc.) and navigate to “https://dwspectrum.digital-watchdog.com”.

Once you have connected with the web portal, click the “Log In” button and enter your DW Cloud login credentials. The user profile associated with the account must be registered as an Administrator role or as the system Owner.

 

2. After logging in, click on the tile of the target DW Spectrum System that you would like to share the logs from. The Settings page will display for the selected DW Spectrum System.

Select the “Information” tab, then click on the “Download Full Report” link.

 

3. A JSON file containing the log information will be downloaded to your computer’s default location for downloads. Generally, this is the “Downloads” folder on your computer.

You will use this JSON file in the next section to share the log with other users.

 

Applying the JSON File for Health Report Log

If you have already acquired the JSON file from a DW Spectrum System and would like to view its contents without logging into the DW Spectrum Web Portal, follow the direction below.

1. Use a web browser (Chrome, Firefox, etc.) to navigate to “https://dwspectrum.digital-watchdog.com”.

Once you have connected with the web portal, click the “Download DW Spectrum” link at the bottom of the page.

 

2. The Download page will display. Select the “Health Report Viewer” tab at the top of the window

 

3. The Health Report Viewer page will display. Initially, this page will appear blank.

Click the “Browser for Report File” button and select the JSON file for upload. Click the “Open” button to upload the file to the DW Spectrum Web Portal.

Alternatively, you may drag and drop the JSON file from its downloaded location into the “Drag & drop report anywhere” area.

 

4. The DW Spectrum Web Portal will then display the downloaded Health Report Viewer log and a time record for the generated file without ever having to first log into the DW Cloud network. The JSON file can be shared among other users at the Administrator’s discretion.

Be aware that the DW Spectrum Web Portal will not automatically update the displaying log. A new JSON file will need to be generated by the DW Spectrum System Administrator or Owner to provide updated logs.
