DW Mobile allows users to connect with their recording unit from a mobile device to monitor camera video and review previously recorded video.
This article will outline how to add and connect with a site in DW Mobile.
Note: DW Mobile is compatible with Android 5.0 (or higher) and iOS 8.0 (or higher).
DW Mobile can be downloaded to your mobile device through either the Google Play Store (Android) of the App Store (iOS).
If you would like to skip this step, leave the form blank and click the Sign Up button. When prompted to log in, leave the information blank and click the Log in button.
If you would like to add or change the application login information, you can do so by selecting Setup from the Main Menu, then selecting Account Management.
To add a site:
Enter the following information for your DVR or NVR:
Model: |
Default Port |
Spectrum |
7001 |
VMAX A1 |
80 |
VMAX IP Plus |
9010 |
VMAX 960H Core |
9010 |
Note: If you are using either Public IP Address (WAN) or a DDNS Address to connect with your system from within your Local Area Network (LAN), be sure to disable your device’s Wi-Fi setting to allow the device to connect through an external network (mobile data). You may leave the Wi-Fi setting enabled if you are connecting from a network that is external to the LAN that is hosting your system.
DW Mobile will test the network connection with the provided site information. If the test fails, make sure that the DVR or NVR has network access and that the site information has been entered correctly.
To view the recording unit:
To prompt the Sites List, either tap the arrow on the left-side of the screen or swipe from the left edge of the screen to the right to display the panel.
Note: If the site has more than 16 cameras, you can scroll through the camera channels by dragging your finger up and down in the display area.
