Senturian Solutions

By integrating the Senturian Solutions plugin, DW Spectrum can be used for object identification, license plate capture, and other analytic options.

This article will outline the setup process for adding the Senturian Data Library for integration with DW Spectrum.

Note:  The Senturian analytic software must be obtained from Senturian Solutions.  For more information, please visit www.senturiansolutions.net.

Enabling the Senturian Data Library

After adding the Senturian files to the server computer:

  1. Launch DW Spectrum and log in as the Administrator or as a user with administrator privileges.
    • Default User ID:  admin
    • Default Password:  Admin12345
  1. After logging in, open the Main Menu, then select System Administration.

  1. From the System Administration menu, click on the Plugins tab.

Select the Object Recognition Plugin and configure the following:

  • XML Folder Path:  set the directory for the Senturian Data Library.  By default, use C:\genesis_data\genesis_data\
  • License Key:  enter the license key provided by your Senturian representative.  If you have not yet done so, you will need to provide the MAC address of your computer to receive this information.

Once configured, click the Apply button

Setting the Camera

To set a camera to utilize the Senturian plugin:

  1. Right-click on the camera, then select Camera Settings.

  1. From the Camera Settings menu, click on the Plugins tab.

Configure the following:

  • Enable switch – slide the switch to the On (green) position.
  • IP Address – enter the target camera’s IP address.
  • Number of objects to generate – enter 1
  • Generate objects every N frames – enter 1
  • Generate preview after N frames – enter 1

Once configured, click the Apply button to save the settings.

Results

Once setup has been completed, an Objects tab will display in the Notifications Panel.  By selecting the Objects tab, users can selectively search for specific periods of footage or object types from footage archived after the Senturian Solutions integration.
